In other words, you think "confined space" means "a space with no access to air whatsoever." In regard to pyrotechnics, yes.

In regard to pyrotechnics, yes. An argument based on semantics is inherently faulty and effete.

I doubt you even know what you just said. Well, I do know what I just said. I think we've already established that pretty much everyone on this board is more intelligent than you as nobody else has yet degenerated into refuting an argument with such a limp-wristed response. Not even Rancid. Therefore, it's plain that the only reason you had to resort to such a cute little response is that /you/ didn't know what I said. You probably don't know about reference.dictionary.com , either.

I call it over. Stay on topic or the thread will be closed. Have a nice day ;D
Unless you have a source for oxygen, gasoline wont burn confined. There is more than enough oxygen in an engine. if there is too much gasoline vapor/ liquid, none of it at all will combust because there wont be enough oxygen to burn it. there is a pretty perfect air to vapor ratio in a combustion chamber in a car.
The styrafoam. gasoline incindiary putty i guess it could be called will make black chips of plastic after it burns that are pretty hard to get off of stuff but they can be taken off with a knife or the like. as for the burn marks, you can spray those off with a water hose most of the time.
now can we stay on topic please? what kind of forum has flame wars between moderators? certainly not one worth even reading. even the mods of bomb shock dont flame each other...

There's a reason you're not the moderator of the Explosives forum. "Confinement" in a normal dictionary DOES mean just any old closed up space that holds something in, no matter how leaky it is, but in pyrotechnics confinement is when an explosive is put in a container that does not allow for gas leakage(leaks would dampen an explosion)

Slith, the only reason that you ARE a mod is because I said that I wouldn't mind if you were co-mod of this forum with me when I was asked. The definition of conefinement is the same in any situation as far as im concerned. confinement is when something is confined, meaning all by itself and cut off from other things.

No, The way it works when a second moderator is given the job, is that the original mod is asked first if it's ok.
Now, back on topic...

Fine. It will explode in a small space with access to oxygen.

Just wondering, doesn't gas only explode when it is in a vapor form, in a confined space, as opposed to a liquid form?
