I know that ecstasy pills are dangorous because of the shit that mixed with the MDMA to make the pills. I'm wondering if the pure MDMA is any bit harmfull? And does anybody know what the LD50 of MDMA is, and how much is in the pills?

Pure MDMA is harmful in large doses. However, there is not much that is known about it as far as effects. Testings have shown that in large doses, MDMA can degenerate serotonergic nerve terminals in the brain. It is also suspected it can suppress the immune system.

It also can relieve the shaking symptoms caused by the treatment for Parkinsons Disease.

Vitamin C does away with the large majority of the ill effects of MDMA, and the only things which are really dangerous then are the likes of your heart rate being too fast.
Pure Orange Juice, or orange juice concentrate, will bring you down when buzzing on MDMA, so don't think you should drink it while buzzing to keep healthy, unless you want to waste your money.

97 mg/kg I.P in mice. 49 mg/kg I.P in rats 98 mg/kg I.P in guinea pigs No idea about humans. Thats quite odd that the LD50 in mice is twice the amount for rats. I would of assumed rats would have a greater tolerence then mice.

Do you know how much is in the average pill? Average street quality MDMA tablets contain 75 to 125 mgs. As for the LD50 margin differences in rats and mice, I don't know why it is, but many substances are that way. I guess it has a lot to do with metabolisim, as smaller animals have more rapid metabolisims.

The MDMA found on the street commonly isn't MDMA at all. Neurotoxic PMA is frequently sold as MDMA, as it's easier to prepare via illicit synthesis.
An alternative to vitamin C for preventing brain change (I hesitate to say damage, as nothing has concluded it's precisely that... but the brain changes can be profoundly negative - I know someone who's been permanently depressed after "rolling" too many times) would be vitamin E. In fact, vitamin E should be more effective than vitamin C for those purposes.
