Cool stuff to do with gasoline? Well, you can fill up cars, lawn mowers, and other machines with it and make them go. You can make fireballs, and other explosives. Fireballs are soooo cool. And those of lesser intelligence can probably snort it as an inhalent to get high.. and die.

DevourThePain: Do you know where I can find a version of TM 31-210 explosives manual online? I used to have a website bookmarked where you could download almost any military manual, except for the highly classified stuff. I don't have it anymore. I'll see if I can find it.

I'm not sure of the veracity of this, but I've heard people say it works. I'd frankly like to be assured before I tried it . Fill up some container with gasoline, then mix in styrofoam packing peanuts or something like that. The packing peanuts will dissolve in the gasoline. You want to keep on doing this until the mixture is about the consistency of syrup. This gives you a gelled 'splosive, you can use it just like you'd use gasoline, but it stays put better. Also, I've been told that any burn marks made with it on anything are entirely permanent, but that's probably true of regular gas too.

It makes an improvised kind of napalm. It doesn't explode.

whenever i did the styrofoam + gas thing it never came out like syrup. it always came out like a blob of melted styrofoam. and Slitz is right. it doesnt explode. it just burns. but it burns for a long time. i made a batch of about 1/3 a coffee can full and it burned for almost half an hour. good shit for starting fires...but crappy for anything else.

Didn't you say a while back you had more than your weight in styrofoam packing peanuts? You need to use packing peanuts to produce the improvised napalm. I should try it sometime . edit: Perhaps the melted styrofoam has to sit long enough to become a syrup like material.

It makes an improvised kind of napalm. It doesn't explode. First of all, anything that's flammable will, if put in a confined space, explode. Black powder doesn't explode, and I don't see anybody calling it when someone refers to black powder as an explosive. Secondly, it does /not/ make improv napalm. Napalm is liquid fire. This is gelled gasoline. You have to set it aflame, you don't have to set napalm aflame. That's a common misconception.

First of all, anything that's flammable will, if put in a confined space, explode. Black powder doesn't explode, and I don't see anybody calling it when someone refers to black powder as an explosive. That pseudo-napalm made with styrofoam and petroleum distillates won't explode no matter what you do. It doesn't burn in a confined space at all, because like almost anything else(besides elemental alkaline earth metals) it needs oxygen to burn. It doesn't get any oxygen in a confined space. Black powder, however, has an oxidizer mixed in with it(providing oxygen in a solid form) and therefore WILL explode if confined and ignited. Stick to posting facts, please...

No, but when gasoline is injected into an engine(if that's what you mean) air is injected along with it so it can burn.
