A sparkler device is a pretty dangerous device to make because the sparklers can well....spark. And since we all know what a spark can do when let near a device you will just have to be extra carefull. I have only done this device once, but I remember exactly how I did it.
First off, what you will need:
Enough Sparklers To Put Together And Be About As Thick As A Wiffleball
Some Duct Tape
OKay, first off you need to put all the sparklers together like they would be in a pack of ciggarettes or something, just make sure all the sides are touching. Make sure they are all even from the front and back too, except for one single sparkler in the center that you should gently pull out about halfway. Duct tape all around the silver sparkler sides untill you can't see any of it except the front and back, leave those un-duct taped. Put the sparkler bomb somewhere out in the clear and light the one sparkler that is sticking out from the bunch at the tip, and get away. If you did it right, you should hear a loud boom, and if you didn't pack them tight enough you will just have a giant flash show.
I hope you found this post intriguing, or at least learned something from it.

Having the surfaces covered doesnt matter. What would matter would be the amont of confinement and compression. You can barely cover the sparklers and the pressure will just break a tape layer, That would get you NO boom and MAYBE a flash. There would need to be a pretty thick layer of tape which would be able to hold in pressure untill all of the sparklers burns, All of the vented gasses would then break through the thick wall and the increased amount of gas in the area would be heard as a boom as the sudden inrease in pressure and air waves rushes past your ears.
I'm so tempted to close this topic right now it's not even funny. For one it says BOMB in the title. You may not agree with me or my views but you have to realize that the word "bomb" instills ear in people, this will make people who make actual explosives look even worse than they do because everyone seemingly associates bombs with chemical explosives. From now on if i see a thread with the word "bomb" anywhere in the title, the thread will be closed unless it has to do with the kind of bombs dropped from jets. Say "Device", it doesnt sound as harsh.
Heres the question though. What exactly is in those sparklers that makes them do what they do? Would Sparkler powder burn fast enough to be used in a paper casing to make a salute? Would sparkler powder burn faster if fine or coarse? Find these answers out on google or something and ill keep this thread open. We should be learning here people, not saying how to make "Bomz". Know why these devices do what they do. You'll not only be smarter but then you will be earning respect for the knowledge that you can share here.
If you are tempted to close the topic, close the topic. Your a moderator it's your job to close threads you don't think are worthy of being threads. But don't come on here and tell me how close you got to closing it and what I need to do to make you happy so you won't, fuck that. I posted this as a bomb because I did it and it fucking went "boom". I didn't post it so everyone could learn how it worked, if they wanna learn that then they can look it up on google like you said. I don't care what most people seemingly think a bomb is, I care about what a bomb is. If we went by what everyone seemingly thought we would be pretty confused people. I respect the fuck out the fact that you didn't close my topic but don't do what you did and tell me what we are supposed to be doing here. Why don't you post that information? It's not my job to research information for you and post it with my topic. I didn't mean to sound like a little bitch but that is how I feel about what you said. I'm not gonna just say fuck you and turn my head if you got something to say back to me say it and I will listen to you, then hit you back with my insight on the deal.
EDIT- WTF is up with locking my 2-Liter Bomb thread? You said it was because it was in the ACB but the only reason you don't like ACB is because it has so much inacurate info. Well this info works. I'm impressed you know all of that stuff, but why did you close that, if it was because the title had "bomb" in it, I made that thread before you even said anything about it.

I can seen why you started this thread. I'm not saying that you have to do anything. When did I ever say "YOU HAVE TO DO THIS MY WAY OR YOU DIE A HORRIBLE DEATH!"? I don't think I did BUT I may have been a little pushy and unclear.
I dont say that you HAVE to do things but don't you find yourself slightly curious as to why things do what they do? Aren't you curious as to what would work better so that you could improve upon your little charge?
The reason I didnt close this thread is because I think it has some potential. I don't want to start off being a mod on a bad foot by pissing everyone off. I just say that it WOULD be BETTER if this forum had a slightly scientific approach so that designs and ideas could be approevd upon. If you have done a search or if you already KNOW that something does what it does or if you already KNOW something from experience I say that it should be added to help other forum members out a little. Can you see where I'm coming from? I personally have never made a salute quite like this. I assume that a fine powder with a grain size similar to that of double base powder would have the best performance. Having a sparkler as the fuse would probably be the best thing to use as a fuse because it would have a higher temperature than regular safety fuse upon ignition, making it possible to more reliably ignite the rest of the sparkler powder. From what I've read there are different metal salts and magnesiium in most common sparklers. Giving a rough estimate, how thick of a tape layer would you say you had on your salute?
Sorry if I pissed you off. The 2liter thread was also unlocked as it might get better. If the thread gets to the point where people start telling stories about how they put one in a mailbox though the thread will be killed.
I would say I had at least a fourth of an inch on there. I understand completely about contributing information instead of trash. I tried this and I got good results, so I thought I would share it with everyone. Since you obviously know more about explosives than all of us combined, maybe you could write some text files explaining the basics so we all have a better knowlege of them? Thanks for re-opening my 2-Liter thread I appriciate it and I have changed the title. I'm sorry about the misunderstanding, are we cool?
