The following text is correct, right? It’s by me...I wrote it...yes.
Rocket propellant
Materialized descriptions;
Obtain some ‘sodium chlorate weed killer’ from a store, preferably a garden centre. But you can also get them from little super markets and such. It’s not hard to find.
Sugar, people normally use icing sugar but I see that as too fine, instead use caster sugar. This is the fineness you need.
Charcoal, not exactly hard to find.
A sieve
A Bowl
Foil wrap
Wooden spoon.
A pestle and mortar
Procedure;
Get the a bowl and start sieving the sodium chlorate weed killer over it. Only do some of it, just for testing. Do this for about 2/3 minutes. The bowl, there should be all the flame retardant, keep this for later:twisted:. In the sieve you should have the stuff you need (NaClO3).
Grind that up in a pestle and mortar. Grind for about 8 minutes or so, you need it fine. Put them on some separate foil.
Next, seeing as the charcoal will come in clumps, wrap it in foil or something and smash it up quite a bit with a hammer. Make sure it’s pretty fine. Then grind it up in the pestle and mortar. Also put that on a separate foil surface.
Now, get your caster sugar and put it with the charcoal.
Carefully place the sodium chlorate on the charcoal and sugar. Mix it up with a wooden spoon carefully (outside!). When it’s all grey, you’ve finsihed. Light a stick on fire (on the end) and light it.
The display is spectacular if mixed right.
And for the retardant, mix that with hot water and tip it over the neighbours garden.
The ratios should be about 50% =SC 50%-=Caster sugar 50%= Charcoal
To make an BP substitute, do the same procedure but with yellow sulphur. Located at big garden centres.
Update
You can’t really get yellow sulphur anymore, due to dangerous uses and so forth. So you can either;
1. Steal it from your school
2. Use very fine charcoal and make sire the mixture is within a good ratio and nice and grey and fine.
If you really want a BP substitute easy one), keep on testing to make it burn faster, so when it is in a confined casing it will be more of an explosion.
