tokolosh.proboards7.com ;D Sorry it's not .tk at the moment, but I have had many errors when trying to upgrade to .tk . I e-mailed them I am getting aggravated and have tried countless times to bypass these errors with new e-mail addresses and new site addresses. Then they e-mailed me in matter of two seconds flat with some fucking Chinese words and the FAQ, which hasn't helped the slightest. And I haven't finished it by the way ;D FUCK!

I wish the term "pluralist" wasn't already taken. Okay, multi-ist. Those bastards.
Seriously, though...it's best to focus on one or two forums (read, Rorta and &TotSE, because the latter still has a few decent members). Divided we fall and such.

I'm not even gona look because i'm sick of al the rora ripoofs I really couldn’t careless. I just created it for the sake of creating it. If everyone hates people making proboards so much, why don’t they protest it down? Oh yeah, that’s right, they only get pissy because the boards are similar to either totse’s or rortas. The topics I have put up are not intended to be so successful as totse’s or any other BBS. If I wanted it to be that successful, I would be continuously advertising it everywhere I could find. I just thought you could sign up. Bu fuck it now. As I previously said, I’ll just me stupid friends who will ask dumb questions to join. What? Intellectual conversations who can get at totse? Rare. Forget it...

Building and running a sucessful bulletin board is not as easy as everyone seems to think... I was part of a very sucessful small community in 2001 and we had some problems with the board, so we moved to a different board... after the move, because we couldn't keep all the old topics and details, it took a long time for the board to become as active as it once was, but it did happen. Then we had a problem with a certain fucking webhost randomly deleting .cgi files and had to build yet another new board, which never took off for more than a week.
Also, building a community with the hope of leeching members from bulletin boards you already frequent never seems to be a good idea.

Very true DD.
When i first started on Rorta, i had quite a bit of free time but now it's difficult to make the developments as fast as i would like.
There are 101 things i want to get done, and things arn't how i want them with the site right now.
But as they say, Rome wasn't built in a day. Rorta will slowly fall in to place in the upcoming weeks as i start taking a bit of time off with work and the home life.
In the beginning, new members were joining Rorta daily, now there are similar boards cropping up everywhere. I counted seven in just over a week, mostly all copycat sites of Rorta.
As Ned Kelly said, Such is Life.

You guys make it sound as if rorta is the only site that should have members posting on it. Why would people want to rip rorta off? Maybe they just want somewhere, where their friends can go and post, and have some fun.

Well you tell me and we will both know. The fact is people have. The only difference most the time is the colors. Signed... T. Wedd

I must be honest... when I first saw Rorta, I thought "Oh shit, another TotSE clone!" The only reason for that is there were so many sub-forums and my own (EX-) BBS didn't have so much, as was the same with the majority of BBSs that I visited.

I wouldn't know myself, fact is if other people have ripped rorta off they have done a better job. But i do see what the original point was. Yes there are alot of boards croping up, but you should take that as a challenge. It is your duty to make Rorta stand out
