If you had to choose the top five songs that gave you the strongest emotion what would they be and what emotion and why? I'll be the first. - Mountain Music--Alabama. This song for some reason just makes me happy inside, I do not know why but it might be because I was close to my grandfather and part of my family came from the mountains in Arkansas.
- Ride Wit Me--Nelly. I like this song because of it's easy going, laid back beat. It makes me think of my cousins in Cali and how cool it would be to just chill with them when I'm older.
- Shall We Gather At The River--Willie Nelson. Probably the strongest emotion I have is from this song. This song was played at my grandfathers funeral, whom I was close as hell to. I can't get halfway through this song without crying.
- I swear--All 4 One. I just get all lovey when I hear this song and I want to find the perfect girl and fall in love with her and play this song. This is probably the best love song of our time, my friends.
- Cats In The Cradele--By Harry Chapin This song reminds me of my father, who is completely fucked up with drugs and illegeal activities and such. I never had a father/son relationship I've had to practically raise myself which I think is going well but that song makes me re-think my feelings towards my father, everytime.
Okay, now that you all get the idea, please join in. There where some more songs I wanted to include but I decided not to include them because I did say only five, so. I'm looking forward to reading yours and remember no matter how stupid it may sound to you if It's special to you then I promise I won't laugh at it.

1. KoRn - Trash This song reminds me of a very awkward time in my life, which still hurts me to this day. It has to do with the first girl I ever loved, and how I didn't commit suicide because of her.
2. Tupac - Life Goes On The girl I mentioned earlier, she told me to listen to this song the day after my grandmother passed away. I have always loved the song since then.
3. Metallica - The Unforgiven This was one of my favourite songs in school... it reminds me of my first two years in high school when I was bullied badly. You may find it strange that I enjoy songs which seem to bring all bad memories, but this song reminds me too of my fourth and fifth year in school... I grew to 6' in the summer holidays before fourth year (year 11) and put on 2 stone in weight, then got revenge on everyone who had fucked with me. Revenge is one of the sweetest feelings...
4. Diesel Boy - Saving The World I think this song is by Diesel Boy, it starts "First time I saw you I was driving in my car..." I first heard this song the night I lost my virginity... ;D
5. Rage Against The Machine - Settle For Nothing This song has little meaning in my life, but I love how deep Zach de la Rocha gets into the song... you can tell he really gives a shit about what he is singing about.

1. GGF - Rancid This song is so great, I love the concept of how you lose someone and and that they won't be forgotten and I've had similar shit happen in my life, not death but something that had a strong and sad effect on my that I can't change.
2. Changes - Tupac Not one of my favorite songs, but emotional wise, yes. It makes me realize that the more we consider people trying to come together it's not going to matter because everyone in this world is enthrocentric assholes. Peace will never come to us in this world but when I listen to this song I see that someone was actually trying to make a difference, and I had a big effect on a lot of the people. Even though it was a minority of the world, it still made a difference.
3. Face Values - Suicide Machines I just love the truthfulness in the song and how it says that if someone doesn't like you for who you are that they should just fuck themselves...Read the lyrics: You've got No friends and so you're lonely. It does not have to be this way Just be yourself, the one and only It take some time but that's okay Alright, no need to fight 'cause everybody's different and there's nothin you can do about it and just because i dont look like you or act like you It doesn't make me any better or worse You hate yourself cause you're not like them well understand that this is wrong You're better off doing your own thing, being yourself and being strong
4. Girl in The Green Jacket - Bigwig I love this song because I am not good with girls because I get embarissed when it comes to talking to them, but when I listen to the song I realize that I do it, and I listened to it just before, and guess what.... it sort of worked
5. I Wanna Riot - Rancid I just got a lot of shit always going on in my life and when I listen to this song it relieves my stress a lot. It gets out a lot of my anger and that is what I love about it.

My top 5 would be (in no particular order)
1 Self Esteem by The Offspring- It makes me realise Im not the only person who hass no self esteem. And that makes me feel normal in a way.
2 Born of a Broken Man by RatM- the lyrics have a large part to play in my choosing this but as DD said when i listen to Zach sing this song i can tell he means every word of it.
3 Iris by The GooGoo Dolls- Im listening to it right now and it is by far one of the greatest love songs ever written. I think about my girlfriend when this plays and Im always happy when shes in my mind.
4 Citizen Erased by Muse-absolutely class this is my rage coming out in healthy ways. It has one of the best guitar solos Ive ever heard halfway through it and makes me feel alive instantly.
5 The Man Who Sold The World by Nirvana- this song is awesome but it makes me feel sad because when i hear it it makes me think as if my girl had cheated on me.She hasnt by the way.

I don't know if I will ever be able to choose 5 songs. I listen to music almost all the time, I could pick 5 songs for a type of music, but not total. You just can't compare stuff like, reggae and rock, or rap and metal, disco and 80s. It just doesn't work. But you can always pick best 5 for each category. (There are MANY more catagories I listen to, but these are the most). These aren't the best for each category, just some of the greats.
Reggae Bob Marley - Buffalo Soldier Bob Marley - Soul Rebel Peter Tosh - Johnny Be Good Peter Tosh - Bush Doctor Jimmy Cliff - Wonderful World, Beautiful People
Rock Jimi Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower Jimi Hendrix - Purple Haze Led Zepplin - House of the Rising Sun Doors - Riders on the Storm (or) People are Strange Pink Floyd - (there are so many to choose from) Learning to Fly
Rap NWA - Straight outta Compton Dr. Dre - Still D.R.E. Nas - Gangsta Tears Gangstarr - Just to get a Rep (remix) Grandmaster Flash - The Message
Metal Kiss - I love it Loud Rammstein - Du Hast KMFDM - Megalomaniac KMFDM - Mysterious Ways Marilyn Manson - mOBSCENE
Disco I don't know the artist - Funky Town I don't know the artist - The Hustle Village People - Disco Inferno Village People - YMCA Morris Day & The Time - Jungle Love
80s Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams Soft Cell - Tainted Love Fine Young Cannibals - She drives me Crazy Quiet Riot - Come on feel the noise Scorpions - Rock you like a Hurricane
Funk George Clinton - Flashlight George Clinton - Atomic Dog Grand Funk Railroad - We're an American Band Ohio Players - Rollercoaster George Clinton - One Nation under a Groove
Love songs (more or less) Barry White - You're my first, my last, my everything Barry White - Can't get enough of your love, babe Marvin Gaye - Sexual Healing Marvin Gaye - Let's get it on Tom Jones - Sexbomb
Soul James Brown - I feel good James Brown - Play that funky music James Brown - Get up offa that thing Issac Hayes - Hyperbolicsyllabicsesquedalymistic Aretha Franklin - RESPECT
There is more, but I'm tired of thinking.

We're not really comparing the music we're comparing the emotion that the individual song gives you, maybe a memory perhaps?
Great answers so far, by the way.

Aren't KMFDM more of an Industrial Techno band than Metal?
I have another song to add; Limp Bizkit - No Sex This song get's my bowels moving... I always seem to need a crap half way through the song.

I can't really say just songs for some.
In no particular order:
1) Slipknot - IOWA. Everytime I listen to this album it brings back some old feelings, from not to long ago actually. I was very depressed and felt suicidal. I didn't show it though, so nobody really knew. This album was nearly the only music I listened too during that time. It made me feel a bit better. I still listen to it, but not as much.
2) Madness - (Anything by this band). Brings back some happy childhood memories,
3) Nelly ft. Kelly Rowland - Dilemma Reminds me of when I finally scored with a girl that I liked for ages. Less than a week after though I started to hate her 'cos she was a head wrecker.
4) System of a Down - Prison Song Reminds me of when I got caught with a butterfly knife in an airport on a school tour in Germany right after 9/11. It was the song I was listining to at the time, and I almost shat my pants when I got caught.
I'll get back to ye with number 5.

As I don't have just 5 top songs that bring emotion in me, I'll have to rattle off 5 in no order:
Kiss - Rock and Roll All Night: This song just reminds me a lot of that pent up hidden wild side of me that I do not let out very often.
Black Sabbath - Megalomania: This one sort of descirbes my life. Sometimes i just want to be left alone, yet it seems everyone is in my privacy.
Metallica - Ride the Lighning: This one is just plain good, and I listen to it when I'm feeling pissy.
Nine Inch Nails - Closer: This is excellent shag music and for some reason this song sometimes amplifies my horniness.
Led Zeppelin - Achilles last Stand: This song always gets me jamming. And it is an excellent song.
