i know im new, but...
well i seem to sense some tension between the mods/admins. i figure there must be some sort of arrangement that can be made that can fix this. i saw most of this in the weird sci section under black holes i believe. i dont know, but i just dont like seeing bickering or even disagreement between mods, as this usually leads to admin abuse, not to mention hard feelings. maybe these things can be settled in an "admin only" section, in a civilized manner rather than editing out each other's posts? am i seeing something that isnt there? i just wonder how with an ever growing number of people visiting this board, how can the admins do their job efficiently if they don't even APPEAR to have a unified front.
EDIT: now i see that the issue was resolved in the "rorta news" section, but is it really news? i dont know, maybe the outcome is, but still more bickering to reach it...

Some mods do fight with each other. There is no admin abuse, T Wedd treats us well. Mods are just normal people with some extra powers. Like editing posts.
Some may choose to annoy each other, but not all.

Unfortunately yes, some members or moderators don't see eye to eye, but you get that in most BBS's.
Also, as most moderators are new with their position there's confusion over what should be done with some threads. This should sort itself out over time.
The major problem was resolved in the Admin forum.

Yeah it was. T. Wedd beat the shit out of W2D2W, powerbombed Stone into a steel chair that was set up on a table, Gave DD an indian burn, and did a wicked moonsault off of the roof of my house onto my grandmother.
Just kidding, none of that happened. T. Wedd snapped his fingers and everyone was silent...

MB, you're doing the thing that caused the problem in the first place. Knock it off.

Yeah, there has been some tension between some of the mods and admins recently. It has mostly been quieting down however.

Haha, there are a WHOLE lot of mods for such a small posting population ;D
Mabye we should have a rough ratio, like one mod per 25 people or something?

It does seem that way at the moment, we have 14 moderators for 108 members.
Each mod has their own area of knowledge and interest so each has been given a topic to help run.
I didn't want a single moderator doing multiple topics. I did this so they can each focus on their forum to add content and generate interest and thus build traffic to it.
As time goes on, it will even out the moderator to member ratio. It's just a matter of time, places like Totse have taken 6 odd years to get where they are now, so generating that kind of traffic really can't be done in a matter of a few months.
