Has anyone else seen this sport on TNN? I was watching it and within the first two minutes I was going "Sweeeeeeeeet" and "Holy Shit" at about ten miles an hour. [glow=red,2,300]For those of you who don't know, Slamball is a sport played like basketball, except with trampolines, more physical action (tackling) and a black basket ball with a black foam rim. The object of the game is to well....slam the ball. But at each end they have these people called stoppers who are supposed to try and block the ball.[/glow] There is also a slamball website, www.slamball.net. This is releated to and not the subject of my thread so it really does belong here. I have only seen one half of a game, and I am hooked. Slamball is a sweet sport no matter who you are, because who hasn't dreamed of just slamming that fucking ball in the hoop, after soaring seven feet into the air and doing a three sixty over some punk?

Sounds kinda cool...too bad I don't get TNN. Probably won't last very long, methinks.

Slamball sounds like quite a lot of fun. it also sounds very painful, dangerous, and very exausting as you are jumping around all the time. And getting hit by a ball. Since I am not into sports, I probably won't ever see it one TNN.

As I RARELY ever watch tnn, or tv in general, no. You do realize that you don't have to watch something to record it, right?

I shall tape an episode or two as soon as I get the exact time. Cool. In a few weeks, I'll post my thoughts on the show...of course, the way this board moves, this thread won't be dead by then .

Hey, you posting here reminded me of something...shouldn't this really be in /your/ forum? I mean...does TV fall under Music, Movies, and the Written Word?

Yeah, BUT it is a sport first and that is why I posted it. So it belongs in physical.
