As of now, you admins seem nice. I guess repetive stupid questions haven't been bothering you yet. I suggest you make an FAQ section, to work alone with the help section.
The site seems easy to navigate and full of information. I think eventually it will be massive. As of now, it isn't. But its been up, what? A week maybe?
If you need any help, call on me.
If you need a mod for explosives, can I do it?

I'll get to work on a FAQ right away.
Well, we'll see about making you a mod, just post some more in the meantime. If you can add info to the explosives forum, then go right ahead. Just do not waste your time posting from the Anarchist Cookbook or other similar Cookbooks because then you are wasting our time when we have to delete it before some poor n00b kills himself or loses a limb or two.

Wow... my first post. It's like the first time you become erect in new underwear... or is it? The problem I found with registering is that everything wasn't standing out in big fuckin' letters. It took me a while to realise that my password was in the e-mail, and I am still wondering why you didn't ask me my location and website and inner leg, ya know the way registration forms usually prefer a life story. Anyway, the site looks pretty sweet. If you need anyone to mod, I would love to do it. The only problem is that Stone e-mailed me milliseconds after my registration and informed me of an unjustified hatred which will result in me always being cast down with a huge stick, every time I ask to become moderator... stop it Stone, STOP HITTING ME!

Welcome to Rorta DD I'm glad you found the submit button, sorry it's not huge. As for the details, Rorta doesn't need to know any actual information about you, just a valid e-mail address to send your password to. You can say you are Donald Duck from Yugoslavia if you want. The only information we record is site statistics ie page views, page hits etc, which is available for viewing by all members. As for becoming a moderator, there are a few positions available, so pick a topic and make a few contributions and i will see what i can do. Anyhow, enjoy your stay and don't let Stone abuse you too much Cheers... T. Wedd

I'm here, I'm qu--well, I'm not...what else rhymes with "here?" Anyway, get used to it. EDIT: T. Wedd, I sent you an e-mail, the matter discussed therein being something I don't think is a matter one should relate on a public forum . Pretty much anybody in this thread can guess what it is, though, I s'pose. Also...where did "Rorta" come from?

Just curious, are there special criterion for becoming a moderator? Or is it simply, "Yo can I be a mod in forum X?"

Just curious, are there special criterion for becoming a moderator? Or is it simply, "Yo can I be a mod in forum X?" I believe the general policy is to just look at a user's posts, after they have expressed an interest in becoming a mod. If you're generally insightful, correct, and so forth, you'll be considered.

Correct. Also the availability of positions are a factor. Due to Rorta being a new site, alot of positions were available. However, currently we only need 2 active moderators per forum. This will most likely change as the need arises. When appointing new Moderators, i check users posts for good contributions, how active they are, knowledge on the subject and legible posts. Also i converse with existing moderators to see if they have no objections with the new co-moderator.
