I think someone here (the most 1337est of you) should do a file on hacking. I mean a "How to Hack For Retards" guide. I personally have no clue how to I dont even have an idea of the basic requirements. So feel free to "learn me good".

Why would we want a bunch of retards learning how to hack? The would only fuck up anyway and get caught. If there are any questions though, post them and I'll try my best to get you an answer.

I think the proper terminology is "A hackers guide for those with enough intelligence and balls to do it." Retards and stupid people can't hack, they only think they can. The first 3 steps in the guide should be as follow : 1. Learn a compiled programming language (like C++) 2. learn an interpreted programming language (I think perl/python are interpreted) 3. Get Linux or learn to use MS-DOS That should be a start .

Ahh hell I missed the apostophy. I am however, in thye process of learning the l33t hacking skillz. But I am lacking in direction at the moment. No this does not mean I am breaking into banks and stealing money or any reckless destruction like that. That is what a cracker does. I am in the reavenous persuit of knowledge in all the wrong places ;D.

I do too, but reading stuff can help a lot. I agree, as reading can help you understand hacker ethics, and what to do and not to do. For example, it is a BAD idea to hack government servers.

Problem is, hacking is so broad and involved it would take literally weeks to write a file covering all the details.
I know the basics, well probably a bit more but i'm by no means a professional hacker.
If anyone has a specific question, i'm sure i could point you in the right direction.

What I am curious about hacking is, where do you start. Or what should you look into and know first before anything? Other than at least 1 program language.

Don't even worry about learning a programming language, get familiar with DOS and TCP/IP networking protocols.
Learn about DOS, Ports, IPs, Servers, Telnet, Vulnerabilities etc.
I just recommend reading everything about the above you can get your hands on, especially TCP/IP.
I will get some texts up on the site from various authors in the near future. In the mean time just ask if you have a specific question.
