Pheh. If he is one, he's probably a little grey or something. I'll just shoot him in the face. If he is one, and he's some sort of Space Terror, I'll run into a populated area. He won't risk exposing his race just for li'l ol' me. I'm lost, who is the aforementioned alien?

Ahh yes, I know who the alien is now. I think he might be more of an alien from south of the border than north of the ionosphere .

Look who's joining in the mirth, a post above yours? Well, look, it's this forum's fucking /mod/. Rorta's too young to have a thread nazi.

Look, man, controlling siliness is the fucking /mod's/ job, not yours. And my job is to make sure that the mod controls the silliness. Back on topicI don't believe that most of the UFO sightings are real. There are so many, and so many different shapes and descriptions. Many can be easily explained. I don't think that aliens are actually visiting us now, but I'm not sure. They may be visiting us to study us, but if they are, I can't see why they have not exposed themselves to us.

Yes i do believe in aliens....and no i am not some poor ass star treck fan gagging for the next star wars convention.
Its common sence to believe that there is some sort of life out there, but i don't think its going to be ''human like''. Maybe a bacteria or something along those lines. As we know, for life to exist, the planet supporting it has to be in the ''green zone'', a certain distance from a star.
Now keep in mind the size of the universive, and something has to exist.

As far as the UFOs go, perhaps the many different shapes simply mean there is more than one extra terrestrial race visiting us, and their space craft just do not look completely the same as one another. There have been many many different physical descriptions of the aliens themselves, ranging from the typical Gray, to tall humanoids, to praying mantis type creatures, to even ones covered in body hair.

I don't believe that there are many types visiting us. But maybe you're right?
And Vegito. The 'green zone' is for life as we know it. There could be life out there that we might not be able to even begin to comprehend.

Also, if you have ever watched "Tuesday Declassified" on the Scifi channel, the government supposedly got their hands on alien technology and they were back engineering it on some site off from Area 51 called S4. A physicist named Bob Lazar apparently worked there for a brief time and he mentioned that the technology supposedly came from Zeta Reticuli. I don't know whether it's true or not, but it could show proof that there is intelligent life out there.

Odd, I remember us having a conversation wherein you stated that you regard everything theorizing that alien technology advanced our civilization as bullshit...

Lazar is very well known for his claims. And I believe that there is definatly something in Area51. I just don't know what to believe about it. I would think that for backwards enginering a totally different and extremely advanced piece of alien technology would be far beyond our capabilities.

Maybe if we only had their current level of technology...but the thing is, humans tend to keep antiquated technology around. I'd think that aliens might do that, as well. Think about it this way...it might be impossible for a group of neanderthal men to figure out a train, but if they had access to all of the other technology leading up to the train (most of which would actually be /on/ the train), they'd have a much easier time.

Perhaps humans also need a lot more knowledge in the area of physics to understand how such things work. For example, apparently these alien craft are powered by some kind of antimatter reaction with "Element 115". It supposedly occurs naturally in the universe and it stable (note: Element 115 is Ununpentium on the periodic table). Their craft is also supposed to be propeled by a gravitational distorton. It basically rolls around in the air. So unless we have more knowledge in the area of physics, we cannot understand how such hyperadvanced alien technology works, as it is governed by parts of physics we have yet to know about and/or comprehend.

Ok. Good point. But, Lets look at it like a ship in the navy. Over the last 500 years alone there have been some amazing changes in seafaring technology. If you look at an aircraft carrier, all the important technology on it would have been created within at least the last century. I'd be very suprised if a human from 500 years ago would have any idea about how any of it works. That would be like us trying to understand the alien technology (I presume).
