I have switched off the ability for Guests to post without registering. This was done for a few reasons. One being the user/pass log-in glitching, causing registered members to post as a guest.
When logging in, please use the... Main Navigation Bar at the top of the screen.
This glitch will be rectified when the next version software is in place.
You now must register to post on Rorta.
Thankyou...T. Wedd

Good work. This will also keep people from flooding a decent topic.
I hope it stays this way.

I like it. I've always hated the idea of guest posting, for some moronic reason.

The idea of guest posting attracts the idiots . Unless you give them some kind of basic user account and restrict their access, handling users on a case by case basis. i know of one website that does that, and it has uber high post quality.

Unfortunately, that method requires way too much work on the part of the forum administration, and it will repel a lot of potentially good members.

Actually, all the mods and admins work together on the case by case basis things. They watch out for the more intelligent users, and their post quality, etc. Good work does not go unnoticed on that site either.

Alright..."by application only" doesn't work, "by invitation only" does.
