I went on a site that "took over" my internet. Everytime I type something into the address bar, it searches at search.xrenoder.com/This website took over Internet Explorer. I have tried Adaware and hijackthis. It sends me to these sites that put many links in my favorites. It is really pissing me off. I need help asap. Any suggestiongs? (post here or PM/IM me)

This happened to me last year and I had to fix the problem within my Windoze98SE registry... things are harder now though. I'll see if I can find out how to remove it.

System restore seems to have worked. Feel free to close this topic or leave it open for other people with the same problem.

Isn't the software still on your computer though, after you use a System Restore.
The last time I restored my Num Lock button was automatically off at the log in screen, and when I turned it on to put in my password, it would turn off again when logging into my account... anyone know why this would be happening?
