Do you think that the people who make the File Sharing Apps should be held responsible or the people who actaully share the files?

Do you think that the people who make the File Sharing Apps should be held responsible or the people who actaully share the files? Although a certain (small) amount of the blame does fall to the app's creator, the responsibility still is in the hands of the user. I mean, we don't punish cigarette companies for people who die of lung cancer. Oh, wait, we do. Well, you see my point, anyway.

I think that neither should be held responsible for anything. They are the ones nice enough to share their media with the rest of us, so I think it is a good thing. As far as music goes, the people who market the music should be held responsible for making the media so god damned expensive. As they make an insane amount of profit off a bunch of bad songs and groups that all sound the same.

Although the media companies do suck ass, they never put a gun to your head and made you download any music. They are partially to blame, but in a similar capacity to the app creators, as opposed to the downloaders.
