I've been working on a banner ( witch you can check out will look like when done in a few sections of the website) for this website to go on other websites as an advertisement... The website should van its horizons and have its site on a seacrh engine...unless that is in the process of all ready being done...also if anyone has a website put a link up for it and when i am done with the banner, use that

good thinkin, rorta is already being publicized because of the meta tags so search engines should have them soon.

The large majority of webmasters host banners on their site because of the pathetic cheque which comes through the post occasionally. Hosting a banner for free is unlikely to happen, unless it is a small personal website. The problem which arrives from this is that small websites do not receive much traffic, and the majority won't click the banner anyway.
I'm sure this place will take off with word of mouth (or text of fingers) alone, although adding to search engines etc. would obviously help to the degree of someone searching about breaking bicycle locks being able to find your post, Rancid.

I don't think we should go into search engines. I think we should be a site completely on word of mouth (or text). Look what we have so far with so little advertising. I think we are better off just telling people we observe who are great posters and a positive contribution to the forums. Then they can tell people, and as I've said it gets big fast. I think thats better than 300 pre-teens wanting to learn how to make a bomb.

I think thats better than 300 pre-teens wanting to learn how to make a bomb. VERY insightful. I really hadn't thought of that. Word of mouth is good...I've noticed that the fucktard:non-fucktard ratio here is a lot better than TotSE's, (and I think the other sites of a "similar" nature need not be mentioned), and it'd be great to keep it that way.

I think thats better than 300 pre-teens wanting to learn how to make a bomb. Yes this is very agreeable, as a site such a Rorta gains popularity, the sheer idiocy and all the 10 year olds asking "Wh3r3 k4n I f1nd t3h gurlz clit" and other stupid and random BS, will follow.
