This is the one of the only books that has ever made me cry. Tears straight up started rollin' down my cheeks when I read this baby, I felt like a little bitch.
Kris's war is about a boy named Jesper who grows up in WWII times. The book starts out as he is in a concentration camp and his fingernails are torn off; but the give him a pencil and a piece of paper to write his family a letter when he can't write. He then goes into detail about his life story. I never understood how truly fucked up this period of time was untill I read this book. If you are looking for a deep, sad ass read this is the book for you. You will come out of this book with your sympathy chords in fine tune, this book is great for all you depressed kids, because it showes you no matter how bad shit gets, it can get worse and you should thank the almighty that it hasn't. I recommend this book to you highly, Rortians.
